Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

Perkin Elmer US LLC CT-Flex Corrugated Teflon FEP Tubing - 0.25 in OD
CT-Flex Corrugated Teflon FEP Tubing shapes and flexes easily and can take tortuous paths. It features a practically zero-bend radius and can be extended or compressed without affecting the inner diameter. CT-Flex resists chemicals, elevated temperatures, cut-through, and strain. CT-Flex is made from Teflon FEP, has read-thru transparency and has FDA approval under regulation 21 CFR 17.1650. The non-wetting surface of CT-Flex means easy clean-out, so batch-to-batch contamination is not a problem. Teflon FEP contains no plasticizers or filler to leach out and contaminate the product stream. Other features include: Vacuum Service: 29.9 in Hg. Tygon 2375 tubing is a clear, plasticizer-free thermoplastic elastomer designed for demanding chemical transfer and cleaning applications. It provides outstanding resistance to a wide range of solvents while maintaining low extractables and low sorption to preserve media purity.
